Product Designer (UX/UI)


Your role in a nutshell: 

We are looking for a Product Designer with UX/UI capabilities, to be working directly with the Vodafone ID Team.  
The Vodafone ID Team provides secure and convenient authentication, verification, and account management solutions to Vodafone Group services (e.g. Vodafone Offers, Payments, One Number, Secure Net, Vodafone Smart). As the online landscape changes, there is a growing appetite to heighten security and replace old authentication methods (like passwords) with new, more innovative and easy-to-use solutions. You'll work with us to evolve our existing authentication products, in addition to solving problems around how users find and manage their account settings, sign up to services, and verify themselves. 

You'll work collaboratively with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Architects based in Europe and India to design features that meet technical and business requirements. You'll need to be able to support your designs with evidence to suggest that we're striking the difficult balance between convenience and security, and you'll need to communicate your decisions clearly to the ID Team and occasionally to stakeholders from Security and Vodafone Group services. 

Your tasks will predominantly be related to UX and UI design, such as defining task flows, creating wireframes, defining IA, and prototyping and create high-fidelity mockups. Apart from everyday UX/UI tasks, you will be identifying needs for usability testing and user research and supporting the UX Research department by building prototypes.


What your job will look like:
• Create wireframes, define UX requirements, use cases, concept visualisation, prototypes, interaction patterns
• Design low and high-fidelity mockups
• Identify needs for usability testing and user research; prepare prototypes for user testing: iterate UX designs based on the results from user testing
• Create pixel-perfect visual designs 
• Improve and maintain UX and UI standards, processes and Vodafone design guidelines in collaboration with other UX and UI professionals
• Incorporate and collaborate on domain design patterns, standards, architectures
• Deliver design presentations to senior stakeholders
• Identify UX quality issues to developers and negotiate appropriate UX solutions 
• Ensure stakeholder communication and alignment
• Communicate with Creative Directors, stakeholders, engineers and fellow designers to ensure that the delivery of the designs is according to and aligned with brand and UX guidelines
• Act as the champion for the customers

Typical outputs you will be delivering:
• UX/UI concepts and wireframes 
• Prototypes
• Competitor analyses, both visual and user experience quality assessments
• Detailed UI design specifications
• Design presentations and documents


What you will bring to the team:
• Fluent English – this is crucial as your direct team members you will be working with on a daily basis are from the UK
• 3-5 years of working experience in UX or UI
• Experience with the following tools: Sketch/InVision/Figma 
• Demonstrate wireframing, UI designing and prototyping skills
• Ability to work independently 
• Excellent communication skills
