About this Role

We are seeking a German-speaking Controlling and Reporting Specialist to join the Luxembourg Reporting team in Budapest. You will support operational expenditure planning, forecasting, month-end closing and management reporting, providing accurate financial analysis and actionable insights to support informed decision-making. You will work closely with Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders while contributing to improvements in reporting quality, accounting processes and financial data.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver month-end closing, forecasting, early indication and management reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial outputs.
  • Analyse financial performance, investigate variances and prepare clear commentary to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting, planning and payroll models.
  • Produce ad hoc financial analyses and forecasting scenarios.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting, reporting and data-quality processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders to resolve issues, align assumptions and meet reporting requirements.
  • Provide operational backup to support business continuity.
  • Meet agreed deadlines while maintaining the quality of reports, plans, budgets and forecasts.

Who you are

  • You have experience in financial controlling, management reporting, forecasting and month-end closing.
  • You understand financial planning, budgeting, variance analysis and accounting principles.
  • You can apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to complex financial information.
  • You communicate confidently in German at a minimum C1 level, both written and spoken.
  • You have professional working proficiency in English.
  • You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and practical knowledge of SAP and financial reporting systems.
  • You work accurately, pay close attention to detail and maintain high data-quality standards.
  • You build collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • You can manage multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines and contribute to continuous process improvement.
