Senior DevOps Engineer

 

Your role in a nutshell:

 
The Senior DevOps Engineer supports the Online Delivery department and develops the website, e-commerce site and management portal for Vodafone Germany. This role will introduce and maintain processes, tools and methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates in order to deliver the best applications and services.

 

What you’ll do:

 

•    You’ll be responsible for the implementation of new digital services with an emphasis on infrastructure
•    Able to act as an interface between technology and business units
•    Act as a technical advisor and take on management tasks as well
•    Define development, test and operating standards 
•    Represent your area in technical committees and with internal customers


What you’ll bring to the team:


•    5+ years of experience in DevOps platform management in larger projects
•    Kubernetes and AWS knowledge
•    Cloud Native, Microservices and Infrastructure as Code knowledge
•    Some experience with programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, Java), virtualisation (e.g. Docker), database technologies (e.g. MySQL, NoSQL) and other software supply chain tools (e.g. Jenkins, Terraform, GIT)
•    Full proficiency in English
•    Solid experience in working with Agile, DevOps methodologies and continuous delivery methods
