Senior GRC Specialist

 

Role Purpose:

 

Working to protect the privacy of more than 500 million Vodafone customers and employees, Vodafone Group Privacy team, a function under Vodafone Group Legal, oversees Vodafone’s global Privacy Programme and ensures its implementation within Vodafone Group. Joining us as a Privacy Manager, you can be part of our award winning, empowering privacy function, working on cutting edge privacy matters.

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of the privacy, responsible AI and data regulatory controls at policy and operational control levels, across a range of data processing activities, functions and entities;
  • Articulating and communicating critical privacy risks and gaps to senior stakeholders and identifying and agreeing remedial actions.
  • Conducting regular reviews of data processing activities critical privacy risks and gaps to stakeholders and identifying and agreeing remedial actions.
  • Performing quality reviews of privacy assessments performed on processes, products, ser
  • Keeping the operational issue register up-to-date and develop reports/dashboards.
  • Supporting the training and awareness agenda by development of training materials, holding trainings to the privacy community
  • Supporting the cycle of compliance activities i.e. risk based planning, risk and control matrix updates, Quality assurances and deep dive reviews and annual risk report process

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in privacy/compliance/internal audit;
  • Good mix of auditor and advisory skillset;
  • Structured, process mind-set and desire for continuous improvement;
  • Excellent organisation skills, able to handle multiple requests with differing priorities and stakeholders;
  • Excellent command of English, and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication;
  • Ability to analyse complex information and identify key and relevant points, including communicating in a relevant and easy to understand manner;
