 Senior SAP Project Manager
 

Your role in a nutshell: 


Intelligent Operations implements a significant number of ERP and Transformation programmes this activity will increase following the recently long-term agreement for SAP RISE.
The main responsibility of the Senior Project Manager is to drive change and transformation by initiating and managing complex projects to increase business effectiveness, cost-efficiency and availability of information to enhance business steering.  The SAP Senior Project Manager will manage effectively the different teams of the programme in order to ensure successful cross market implementation. 


The role owner will also be accountable for all deliverables from the project teams required for a successful implementation on time, budget and agreed quality as per delivery exit criteria and will establish the governance processes for the programme to ensure proper and timely decision making with all key stakeholders. 


Reviews and challenges system integrator, other vendors / consultants and local market implementation plans and mitigation actions. Identifies any potential deviations from agreed timelines or quality levels and manages stakeholders and teams to resolve the issues.  


The role will also take ownership of new initiatives and will ensure engagement of local markets (C-level) and business cases to support the execution of the programme. 
 

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

 

  • Ensuring scope, cost, schedule and contractual deliverables, apply techniques for planning, tracking, change control and risk management.
  • Manage multiple markets at the same / release and ensure that each project meets Global Vodafone requirements by taking into consideration the local TLS and business needs.
  • Be on the frontline every day; partnering with the chosen systems integrator, Group and local markets as well as FinOps, SCM, BI and IT central teams to help shape and execute the programme.
  • Manage and mitigate all risks, issues and escalations and report progress for the entire programme scope.
  • Drive detailed delivery of each work stream jointly with the Programme Manager, manage and influence Local and Global senior (D and E band) stakeholders to facilitate a smooth programme delivery and the expectations of Local management with respect to the process and systems changes.

 

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

 

  • The SAP Project Manager should be experienced in managing complex global SAP implementations ideally with shared service centre integration.
  • Ability to manage and influence senior business and external stakeholders with often conflicting objectives.
  • Extensive experience in Vodafone’s EVO delivery model.
  • At least 2 complex multi-cultural project implementations.
  • Exposure to SAP ERP implementation programmes; at ease with the reporting and analytics IT architecture and IT delivery frameworks needed for these projects
  • Proven project management experience and proven skills experience in scoping (gap analysis), planning (phasing, project releases), project budgeting (capex, opex, SI management), resource management (contractors, VF staff, SI resources) and people management 
  • SAFe certification is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
