Supplier Management Specialist

Your role in a nutshell: 

 

Manage complex supplier queries to enable timely payment of supplier invoices. Support commercial activities by being single point of contact (SPOC) for any kind of operational issues. Act as a consultant to Account Manager in shaping the processes in line with the agreed policy framework. Monitor the performance of the suppliers to ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations and performance metrics. Analyse root causes, provide end-to-end process documentation, and drive continuous process improvement projects to prevent issues from recurring. Build and manage relationship with all partners involved in the business. Manage supplier workshops. Deliver internal KPI metrics and develop reporting. Coach, train new joiners.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Handle incoming complex supplier/internal queries and take ownership of end-to-end issue resolution.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to enable timely payment of vendor invoices.
  • Organize regular/ad-hoc conference calls and workshops with suppliers.
  • Recognize and report deflection from contractually agreed procedures.
  • Prevent queries proactively, investigate issues’ root causes focusing on improvement ideas to avoid reoccurrence. 
  • Actively suggest corrective actions.
  • Initiate/drive different projects aiming to improve the quality of the internal processes.
  • Represent the team during stakeholder visits.
  • Reconcile financial statements and complete month-end accruals. 
  • Show sensitivity and a customer-focused approach to resolving conflicts.
  • Deliver internal/external audit requests and 
  • Update/create process documentation regularly.
  • Take the lead in testing new systems, and tools and guide the suppliers during the implementation.
  • Perform regular reporting activities and show trends.
  • Plan work schedule independently according to the business needs.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • 1-2 years of experience in the Finance & Supply Chain field in an SSC environment
  • Experience in project management
  • Fluency in written/verbal English
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge
  • Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented focus
  • Efficient escalation methods
  • Monotony resistance and a resilient mindset
