Supply Planner - German speaker

Demand and Supply planning is a new digital capability enhancement which will be built upon existing Network Stock Solution (NSS) - a flagship program of Logistics digitisation in Vodafone. Vodafone decided to adopt SAP IBP on cloud which will be integrated with Vodafone SAP ERP system. Demand and Supply planning is designed to support Vodafone processes and controls around Procurement, Inventory & Asset management and highly integrated with financial books of accounts. 

 

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Establishing a predefined supply plans including 
  • Checks on returns inventory available and material availability on Asset Marketplace 
  • Proposing most-feasible plan considering supplier commitments and budget constraints
  • Supporting the allocation and prioritization process for both materials and capacity
  • Preparing and providing valuable and qualitative input into Supply Review Meeting
  • Sharing month material requirement forecast with suppliers, identifying potential supplier risks or constraints over the full planning horizon
  • Preparing and providing valuable and qualitative input into the Supplier collaborative forecasting meeting
  • Participate together with VPC manager in Supplier meetings; provides inputs on the Supplier performance and identifies root causes and co-develops solutions
  • Provide inputs for the Meeting with suppliers to evaluate their performance and data analytics identifying main root causes
  • Inventory management: Support set-up inventory targets and controlling stock levels in-line with the targets, analysing and reporting on potential inventory at risk or aged inventory
  • Monitoring predefined supply plan and identifying potential exceptions that require specific actions (major changes in demand/supply and material shortages)
  • Preparing scenarios and applying pre-defined protocols for each of the exceptions and follow-up on exception resolution
  • Escalating specific exceptions that require approval to be resolved 
  • Suggesting and implementing agreed improvements to supply planning processes
  • Communication with other functions to ensure alignment on the VPC defined key strategies and business priorities.

 

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in related areas of supply chain
  • Graduation from an engineering department is preferred
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan, under time constraints and with limited information
  • Ability to propose and create supply scenarios
  • Ability to have a holistic vision of inputs from different functions (Deployment, Engineering Team, Finance, Supply Planning) and be able to integrate all of them in the demand forecast
  • Ability to achieve the best overall planning result for the organization by balancing customer service levels, working capital, asset utilization and cost.
