Test Automation Engineer
Your role in a nutshell:
The Test Automation Engineer supports the Online Delivery department and designs, tests and deploys effective test automation solutions for the website, e-commerce site and management portal for Vodafone Germany. This role will validate the functionality of web and mobile applications by writing scripts and creating automation environments for repeated tests.
What you’ll do:
- Develop automated tests for current websites in lifecycle and transformation projects
- Take over the technical coordination and provide professional quality assurance for in-house, onshore and nearshore development teams
- Support the development of an agile delivery chain with Scrum teams in the context of automated testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Take over the development of E2E test scenarios (for the integration of backend services into the web frontend systems)
- Implement agile testing in the daily CI/CD process
- Support colleagues in integrating automated and manual testing activities
What you’ll bring to the team:
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in the implementation and quality assurance of complex web solutions
- JavaScript, Postman and Cypress are your Daily Business, so you have to know them familiar
- Proven know-how and high confidence on handling current web and testing technologies as well as API testing
- Nice to have: Knowledge in TypeScript, BackstopJS, Newman, Jira Xray
- Experience in working with interdisciplinary, intercultural, agile development teams
- Experience with Agile, DevOps methodologies and continuous delivery
- Full proficiency in English, German is an advantage
