Role Purpose

The Business Automation & Simplification team act as the Centre of Excellence to drive automation and simplification for VBTS.  This is a critical function to make sure that all our VBTS processes, framework and standards meet our Business Capability Architecture (BCA) requirements and comply to regulatory and compliance certifications both internal and external governance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Readiness Lead, you will be responsible for business impact assessments, SW life cycle governance and control , change management , periodic communication awareness .

  • Understanding of processes / Processing mapping (ARIS/Visio)
  • Scrum / Agile knowledge
  • Software delivery lifecycle understanding – HLD, LLD, Dev, Test, Pre-prod, Release, Post Release Hypercare/ELS
  • Change Management
  • Early Life support Process / Release Warranty period
  • User Story Writing and Format – AZURE DEV OPS understanding.
  • Project Planning / Release timeline mapping

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in business analyst roles
  • PMI- PBA Certification
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills to help collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, translate and execute the technical analysis, derive metrics calculations, and present the information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions ((listening, questioning, challenging etc.)
  • Problem-solving skills, Accuracy and attention to detail, ability for critical thinking, creativity
  • Create / Update Business Impact Assessment
  • Learn and understand the different business areas that will be impacted by changes.
  • Create Key Stakeholder Map
  • Confidence in managing/leading calls when carrying out BIA walkthrough.
  • Working closely with the BA’s to ensure the BIA is correct with correctly identified stakeholders for each impacted business area

  • Understanding of test cycles (ST, SIT, UAT, ORT)
  • Training Creation
  • Communication Writing
  • Can clearly articulate themselves.
  • Not afraid to challenge BA’s / Dev resource / Resolver groups.
  • Can work with both onshore and offshore colleagues.
  • Understanding of product life cycle management – NPDs
  • Understanding of BA/ Product Owner role
  • Forward thinking, looking for ways to implement improvements / motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Reporting – creation, VOST, excel, BOXI

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Writing minutes and creating any action plans when needed
  • Facilitating business training, tracking, and ensuring completion
  • Understanding of different training mediums, PowerPoint slides, classroom based, LWIs, learning objectives, online, MS teams training, whiteboard.
  • Drafting comms, comms proof-reading, communicating comms to large audiences, outlook understanding of how to send to DLs and use of BCC.
  • Storing comms on SharePoint and version controlling created comms
  • Understanding of Early Life support – Ideally, candidate will be upskilled to mitigate SPOF by knowing how the ELS role operates and cover the role if needed. (Incident Management & Release Verification)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Additional languages are a plus.
  • Microsoft Power BI or Power Apps knowledge (is a huge plus)
