Role Purpose

To manage the drafting, negotiation, and compliance oversight of medium-to-high complexity Technology/IT/Networks contracts in accordance with Vodafone’s internal contracts management governance and processes, ensuring adherence to compliance requirements, corporate policies, and applicable laws and regulations, while supporting internal stakeholders in claims, contract interpretation, risk identification and awareness, and assisting the litigation team in related disputes.

Key Accountabilities & Decision Ownership

  • Review and validate contract prerequisites and approvals before drafting; escalate deficiencies and risks as required.
  • Draft and negotiate complex contracts (network rollout, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, SaaS/cloud, managed services), ensuring compliance and balanced allocation of risks.
  • Monitor SLA compliance for drafting, updates, and archiving, recommending process improvements where needed.
  • Support maintenance of template governance, approval workflows, and contract retention within CLM systems.
  • Provide advanced support on claims and disputes; prepare documentation and coordinate with the litigation team under managerial guidance.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 5–7 years’ contracts management experience, with exposure to complex negotiations in Telecom/IT/Networks.
  • Strong English drafting and negotiation skills with suppliers and senior business stakeholders.
  • Solid compliance and risk knowledge (Sanctions & Trade Control, Anti-Bribery, Privacy, H&S, Business Resilience, Cybersecurity).
  • Cross-functional knowledge across SCM, Business, Finance, Technology, and Compliance.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled contracts management tools (drafting, clause extraction, analytics, risk monitoring, automation) to support efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to propose solutions within established policies and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Certification in Contracts Management such as CLAC (CICCM/IACCM or equivalent desirable).
  • Knowledge of Egyptian law; knowledge of England and Wales law is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Legal English and CLM system use/optimization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for contract-related reporting and documentation.
