About this Role
What you’ll do
- Develop, deploy and maintain scalable cloud-based ETL and ELT pipelines using Google Cloud Platform BigQuery and Amazon Web Services to ingest, transform and optimise large datasets.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear, high-quality dashboards and management reports using Tableau or Power BI.
- Establish automated data validation, testing and monitoring frameworks that improve data integrity, accuracy and performance.
- Investigate data-quality and process issues, conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimise disruption.
- Improve the data architecture continuously by recommending reusable patterns, effective practices and scalable solutions.
- Support the design, development and verification of technology programmes while promoting alignment across product domains, operating companies and relevant industry partners.
- Ensure technical solutions comply with applicable security, privacy and regulatory requirements, particularly when handling customer data.
- Contribute technical insight and original ideas to solution discussions, supplier engagement and product improvement opportunities.
Who you are
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or another relevant quantitative discipline.
- You have two to four years of experience in data analysis and data engineering.
- You have advanced SQL capability and practical experience with Google Cloud Platform BigQuery and Amazon Web Services data tools.
- You have experience designing and implementing modern ETL or ELT workflows.
- You have hands-on experience with Tableau. Experience with Power BI is also relevant.
- You understand the software-development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, dimensional modelling, data loading, optimisation and front-end development.
- You can convert complex datasets into clear insights, dashboards and reports.
- You understand management reporting needs, cross-functional key performance indicators and regulatory reporting.
- You demonstrate analytical thinking, close attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- You communicate clearly and work effectively within agile, cross-functional, multinational and multi-location teams.
- You remain informed about cloud-computing standards and DevOps practices and can apply them to practical business challenges.
- You are adaptable, curious and proactive when working with evolving technologies and complex technical requirements.
