About this Role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to design, develop and operate scalable cloud-based data platforms, analytics solutions and visualisation services that support Vodafone’s Cloud Engineering, Cloud Operations and Network Intelligence functions. The role focuses on building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines, cloud data platforms, inventory intelligence solutions, operational reporting and AI-driven analytics use cases across Vodafone markets. You will work closely with engineering, operations, product and business stakeholders to transform complex technical and business data into actionable insights that enable data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency and continuous innovation. Working in a multicultural and globally distributed environment, you will contribute to Vodafone’s strategic cloud, data and AI transformation initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, implement and support scalable cloud-native data platforms, pipelines and analytics solutions using Google Cloud Platform technologies.
  • Build, maintain and enhance enterprise dashboards, visualisation products and reporting solutions using Tableau, Grafana, Power BI, Kibana and related platforms.
  • Develop automation and advanced analytics solutions using Python, APIs and AI/ML technologies to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. 
  • Create and manage cloud data lakes, data warehouses and data integration workflows, ensuring scalability, performance and reliability. 
  • Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Engineering teams, Product Owners and Vodafone markets to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
  • Align business requirements with functional and non-functional solution designs to ensure optimal delivery and stakeholder satisfaction. 
  • Enhance continuous monitoring and management frameworks deployed across Google Cloud Platform and European markets. 
  • Support cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes environments and production data platforms while maintaining operational stability.
  • Drive innovation by identifying automation opportunities and implementing AI-driven analytics solutions. 
  • Work with stakeholders across multiple countries to ensure solutions align with business priorities, governance standards and strategic objectives

Who you are

  • You hold a degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • You have a minimum of three years of experience in data engineering, analytics or related technical domains.
  • You have strong expertise in BigQuery and advanced SQL development.
  • You are proficient in Python and scripting technologies such as Shell Scripting.
  • You have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Dataproc, Cloud Storage and related cloud technologies.
  • You have experience with Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer and modern ETL design and implementation practices.
  • You are experienced in relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, BigQuery and Bigtable.
  • You have practical experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau, Grafana and other visualisation platforms.
  • You understand data warehouse concepts, data-modelling principles and best practices in data management and governance.
  • You have knowledge of CI/CD practices, DevOps methodologies, Git and cloud infrastructure management.
  • You are able to analyse complex datasets, derive meaningful insights and support business decision-making.
  • You can collaborate effectively with customers, internal teams and senior stakeholders within agile and cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of telecom industry standards, Machine Learning and Generative AI techniques would be advantageous.
