About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Egypt. This role is pivotal in designing and automating data flows across various platforms, ensuring high-quality data governance and scalability. The individual will be part of agile teams focused on delivering robust data pipelines and enabling analytics and autonomics capabilities across the organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Build, test, monitor, and maintain scalable data management ecosystems.
  • Design and develop automated data pipelines across multiple platforms.
  • Implement data governance practices with a strong focus on data quality and validation.
  • Execute architected solutions for data collection, management, and usage.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless data integration and operational excellence.

Who you are

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experienced in cross-functional projects of varying complexity.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing across organisational boundaries.
  • Strong understanding of business requirements and process innovation.
  • Technically proficient in:
    • UNIX/Linux administration
    • SQL, Python, Data Structures & Algorithms
    • Cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP and AWS)
    • Big Data and Data Science technologies
    • Data catalogue tools (e.g., Collibra)
    • Data warehousing and modelling
    • DevOps tools (e.g., Ansible, GitHub, Chef)
    • Distributed systems and server architectures
