About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics function in Egypt. This role is pivotal in delivering robust data pipelines and governance capabilities across the Analytics and Autonomics domain. The individual will be responsible for building and automating data flows, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and secure data solutions. The role demands a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure, big data technologies, and data engineering best practices.

What you’ll do

Build, test, and maintain scalable data management ecosystems and reusable ETL solutions.
Design and implement data quality monitoring and reporting capabilities.
Execute data profiling, collection, and management techniques aligned with architectural standards.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI Engineers, TechOps, and Architecture teams to ensure alignment with business and technical needs.
Establish and enforce best practices in design, coding, and data governance, while mentoring team members and supporting operational rollouts.

Who you are

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experienced in cross-functional projects of varying complexity with a proven track record of delivering results.
Skilled in UNIX/Linux administration, SQL, Python, and data structures.
Proficient in cloud platforms (preferably GCP and AWS), big data technologies, and data catalogue tools such as Collibra.
Knowledgeable in data warehousing, data modelling, DevOps tools (e.g., Ansible, GitHub, Chef), and distributed systems.
