About this Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide global IT integration, DevOps support, and automation expertise across a private cloud platform serving multiple Vodafone markets. This role focuses on delivering and maintaining secure, reliable, and production-ready solutions that accelerate application delivery, ensure platform stability, and support the full application lifecycle across diverse environments.

What you’ll do

  • Integrate and implement DevOps tools to support scalable and reliable application delivery.
  • Lead migration activities and upgrades to new platform and tool releases.
  • Manage services in line with agreed service levels, ensuring incidents are resolved within SLA.
  • Implement and support containerisation and orchestration technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Maintain application and server availability across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and database-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to the team knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Use existing monitoring, documentation, and service management tools to deliver effective support.

Who you are

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • You have experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary technical projects.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • You bring strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, detail-oriented approach.
  • You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture.
  • You are familiar with DevOps and collaboration tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
  • You have knowledge of cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP and/or AWS.
  • You are comfortable working with DevOps automation tools such as Ansible or Chef.
