About this Role
We are seeking a DevOps Expert to lead and deliver production-ready solutions for hosting applications across multiple clients in a private cloud environment. This role is pivotal in supporting global IT integration and DevOps initiatives using Kubernetes and other modern technologies. The individual will be responsible for architecting cloud infrastructure, developing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high service availability and quality across Vodafone’s global operations.
What you’ll do
- Architect and implement codified cloud infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Kubernetes.
- Participate in all phases of the delivery lifecycle including design, development, test automation, and release.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through documentation and presentations, including high-level executives.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and manage incidents and service requests.
- Apply organisational change management principles to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Define success metrics and track business objectives.
- Maintain and update technical documentation and team knowledge base.
Who you are
- A seasoned IT professional with 7+ years of experience in IT deployments, including 5+ years in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Proficient in containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experienced with configuration automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Familiar with software or web development practices.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Capable of influencing at all levels and working across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrates ownership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
