About this Role

We are seeking a Programme Manager to lead the delivery of strategic projects within the Group Enterprise Commercial & Operations portfolio. This role is embedded in the Service Design & Transition PMO, which ensures service readiness for new and existing group products and services. The individual will manage a team of project managers, drive delivery excellence, and act as a subject matter expert in project governance and assurance. The role demands strong stakeholder engagement across dispersed teams in the UK, Hungary, and India, and involves shaping project frameworks, reporting, and quality standards.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage a team of 10–12 Project Managers to deliver high-impact programmes aligned with enterprise strategy.
  • Conduct impartial project reviews and health checks to ensure delivery safety and resolve risks proactively.
  • Develop and implement common project and programme management standards, tools, and documentation.
  • Provide business assurance to senior management, focusing on benefits, value, and risk mitigation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for delivery frameworks and methodologies across the enterprise.
  • Drive on-time delivery, quality improvement, and cost optimisation across projects.
  • Maintain service readiness and customer experience through effective knowledge, reporting, and utilisation practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and resolve stakeholder issues.

Who you are

  • University graduate with 6–8 years of telecom experience, including 3–4 years in project management.
  • Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP; ITIL and Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Visio.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience in virtual and international teams.
  • Skilled in financial analysis, benefits realisation, and budget forecasting.
  • Confident communicator with storytelling and presentation capabilities.
  • Experienced in Agile methodology, business analysis, and quality assurance.
  • Able to coach and mentor project teams, applying Vodafone ways of working.
