About this Role
We are seeking a highly skilled IP & Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure and resilient Service LAN network capabilities across Vodafone. This role is pivotal in harmonising network environments, optimising infrastructure, and ensuring seamless connectivity for hosted and collaborative services. The individual will be responsible for high and low-level network designs, cyber security integration, and driving innovation across European environments.
What you’ll do
- Design and implement high/low-level network configurations and optimise network performance.
- Lead the deployment of secure Service LAN solutions, including virtualisation and segregation.
- Harmonise data centre network environments and LAN services across regions.
- Manage CAPEX budgets, forecast and plan network infrastructure investments.
- Conduct proof of concept validations, define test catalogues and oversee QA activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure successful implementation.
- Drive knowledge transfer and skill development within the Network Implementation team.
- Maintain accurate network documentation aligned with Cyber Security architecture.
- Support change management processes and supervise third-party contributors.
Who you are
- A technical expert with at least 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure and project management.
- Holds R&S CCNA or CCNP certifications (strongly recommended).
- Fluent in English (oral and written); Italian language skills are a plus.
- Demonstrates strong communication, cultural awareness, and teamwork capabilities.
- Experienced in network design, security protocols, and infrastructure components (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, F5).
- Skilled in managing complex service requirements and transforming them into effective network designs.
- Capable of working across multi-functional and cultural boundaries.
