About this Role

 

We are seeking an experienced PMO professional to support the Vodafone UK Digital & IT Delivery organisation during a period of significant transformation and change. This role partners closely with Delivery teams, PMO Leads, senior stakeholders, and portfolio leadership to ensure projects and programmes are effectively planned, governed, monitored, and delivered. The successful candidate will contribute to driving governance excellence, process optimisation, financial oversight, resource planning, and the adoption of hybrid delivery practices aligned with SAFe principles.

What you’ll do

Collaborate with the Value & Execution Lead and PMO Leads to support the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and programmes.
Support Technology Delivery teams in maintaining delivery standards, sharing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.
Ensure project management processes, controls, and governance standards are consistently applied and optimised.
Monitor and maintain accurate real-time project and programme status updates within relevant delivery systems.
Track project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigating actions to support effective delivery.
Promote the adoption of hybrid delivery methodologies and alignment with SAFe principles across Technology Delivery teams.
Facilitate regular project and programme reporting cycles, ensuring accurate and timely updates for stakeholders.
Coordinate financial reporting activities and ensure alignment with governance and organisational requirements.
Partner with the PMO & Transformation Manager to maintain and enhance delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.
Support project managers in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and delivery roadmaps.
Assist with resource planning activities in partnership with Capacity Management teams to optimise utilisation and balance workloads.
Monitor resource capacity, availability, and constraints, highlighting potential risks and bottlenecks.
Deliver training sessions and guidance on PMO processes, governance practices, and supporting tools.
Produce weekly performance, health, and governance reports for senior management stakeholders.
Analyse project and programme performance data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Support assurance activities to ensure programmes are appropriately planned, funded, resourced, governed, and delivered to quality standards.

Who you are

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst or project support role.
Experience supporting a diverse portfolio of initiatives ranging from large-scale transformation programmes to smaller projects.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organisational levels.
Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience in financial reporting, tracking, and maintenance.
Understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
Knowledge of Waterfall delivery methodologies is desirable.
Familiarity with SAFe concepts and principles is desirable.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Power BI, automation tools, or reporting technologies is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality project governance standards.
