About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IoT Packet Switched Network Solution Architect to design and deliver high‑quality packet core and IP network solutions for VOIS’ strategic Internet of Things programme. The individual will contribute to the integration and evolution of IoT platforms, shape the network strategy for the coming years, lead capacity management activities and provide expert guidance on large‑scale engineering projects across multiple markets.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse, review and refine High‑Level Designs for mobile packet core and IP networks, transforming them into comprehensive Low‑Level Design documents.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation, including configuration matrices, security considerations and implementation guidelines.
  • Define the Mobile Core network evolution strategy and roadmap for the next 3–5 years.
  • Lead capacity management planning and ensure optimal performance and stability across IoT data core networks.
  • Oversee project delivery schedules, technical decisions and risk escalations to ensure successful deployment.
  • Mentor team members by sharing technical expertise, best practices and design insights.
  • Support integration activities related to 3GPP interfaces and external systems such as DNS, RADIUS, PCRF and IMS.

Who you are

  • A telecoms professional with strong experience in designing and delivering mobile packet core solutions (3G/4G/LTE/5G).
  • Skilled in IP networking (switching, routing, firewalls, load balancers) within Telco or Enterprise environments.
  • Knowledgeable in cloud technologies, NFV infrastructure and 5G architecture.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting packet core platforms and analysing call flows, signalling and service behaviours.
  • Experienced in producing high‑quality design documentation and Method of Procedures.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across virtual teams and managing diverse technical stakeholders.
  • Equipped with scripting capabilities (e.g., Python, Perl) and familiar with OSS/BSS monitoring tools.
  • Holding a relevant university degree and industry‑recognised certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or JNCIP.
