About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled RAN Optimisation Specialist to lead radio optimisation activities across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimising network performance to ensure exceptional customer experience. You will also conduct global audits, capacity studies, and software feature evaluations, while supporting technical development within the team.

What you’ll do

  • Monitor KPIs and troubleshoot worst-performing cells to maintain network quality.
  • Propose and assess parameter trials and evaluate new software features.
  • Conduct audits on parameters, neighbours, licences, and hardware configurations.
  • Analyse radio measurements and system counters to recommend optimisation actions.
  • Perform utilisation and capacity studies to manage network resources effectively.
  • Develop multi-carrier strategies and ensure multi-RAT interoperability.
  • Handle customer complaints and prepare for special events.
  • Stay updated on latest technologies and software releases.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership for up to 10 engineers.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Communications/Electronics).
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Radio Planning & Optimisation.
  • Hands-on experience with 5G technology is essential.
  • Proficient in MS Office, TEMS, and radio planning tools.
  • Strong knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Multi-vendor experience and programming/automation skills are advantageous.
  • B2 level German language proficiency is a plus.
