About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise scalable data solutions that enable effective use of large datasets. This role focuses on improving data systems, ensuring data quality and accessibility, and supporting informed decision-making across the business through reliable data platforms and insights.

What you’ll do

  • Analyse and manage raw data across existing data collection systems, recommending improvements and enhancements
  • Design, build, and implement new data collection and processing systems where required
  • Ensure data systems are secure, scalable, and accessible to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain and document code for future upgrades, enhancements, and system maintenance
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to stakeholders on newly implemented systems

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar data engineering role
  • Strong expertise in data management (ETL), data modelling, visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and data pipeline development Proficiency in
  • SQL and experience in programming languages such as Python or Java
  • Experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, and big data tools such as Hadoop and Spark
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or GCP), data governance, and warehousing solutions
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
