About this Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps & Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud & Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with software engineering, security, architecture, and application teams to design, build, transition, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily on AWS. You will play a key role in driving DevOps and DevSecOps transformation initiatives, delivering secure, scalable, and production-ready cloud platforms and applications while enabling faster delivery and operational excellence across multiple projects.

What you’ll do

Design, implement, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily on AWS, using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management practices.
Collaborate with architecture teams to integrate AWS services within supported cloud solutions.
Build, integrate, and maintain CI/CD platforms, pipelines, and associated toolsets.
Implement and optimise continuous integration and continuous delivery processes to support efficient application deployment and operations.
Partner with software engineering teams to manage and operate microservices-based environments.
Develop automated and AI-enabled solutions for cloud provisioning, management, DevSecOps practices, and Cloud FinOps initiatives. Establish and maintain monitoring frameworks to improve service observability and reliability.
Troubleshoot, support, and resolve issues across cloud and IT projects.
Ensure high levels of platform availability, performance, and security.
Contribute to the successful delivery of cloud transformation projects and DevSecOps adoption programmes.

Who you are

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3-5 years of experience.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and its managed services.
Experience working with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and SonarQube.
Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Practical experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible. Experience with Puppet or Chef is beneficial.
Good understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native application environments.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised workloads using Docker.
Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
Linux administration and scripting experience across major distribution.
Understanding of networking, databases, DNS, proxies, and security concepts.
Knowledge of backup and recovery, disaster recovery, vulnerability management, and patch management.
Working knowledge of Python.
Strong understanding of DevOps principles and agile ways of working.
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
