About this role
We are seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the integration and deployment of global IT solutions across private cloud environments. This role involves managing Kubernetes-based platforms, supporting multi-client applications, and ensuring high availability and performance of hosted services. The individual will be responsible for system integration, service management, and continuous improvement of deployment processes, contributing to the software lifecycle across Vodafone entities worldwide.
What you’ll do
- Lead system integration and implementation of DevOps tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and APIGEE.
- Manage migration and upgrades to new software releases.
- Ensure service availability and incident resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to the team knowledge base.
- Troubleshoot database and infrastructure-related issues across UNIX and Windows platforms.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve complex incidents.
- Support cloud infrastructure using Azure and AWS services.
- Drive innovation in tools and processes to enhance team efficiency.
Who you are
- A DevOps professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Azure and strong knowledge of AWS.
- Proficient in Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud networking/security best practices.
- Skilled in microservices architecture and container orchestration.
- Experienced with databases such as Postgres, DynamoDB, Cassandra, and Redshift.
- Familiar with programming languages like Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Knowledgeable in IT infrastructure technologies (DNS, Proxy) and UNIX/Linux administration.
- ITIL Foundation certified or familiar with ITIL processes.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, and presentation skills.
