About this Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the Web Applications team, focusing on front-end development for digital channels. The role centres on building scalable, high-performing web applications, enhancing portal performance and SEO, and collaborating closely with business stakeholders to define and deliver new features. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain front-end components using modern frameworks such as React.js and Next.js
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Perform analysis, coding, unit testing, regression testing, and implementation of new features
  • Design and document high-level and low-level technical solutions (HLDs and LLDs)
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects aligned with organisational specifications and quality standards
  • Support production deployments and provide real-time issue resolution during testing phases
  • Optimise application performance, scalability, and SEO outcomes
  • Contribute to Agile and DevOps delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of evolving industry technologies

Who you are

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 4–6 years of experience in full lifecycle enterprise software development
  • Strong expertise in modern front-end development, particularly React.js, Next.js, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience working with GraphQL and RESTful APIs, including API design principles
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimisation, and scalable component-based systems
  • Familiarity with Node.js ecosystems and frontend build tools
  • Experience with static site generation frameworks (e.g. Gatsby)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, or GitHub Actions
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development practices
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Exposure to issue tracking tools such as Jira or Trello
  • Desirable: familiarity with container technologies (e.g. Docker) and basic network concepts
