About this Role

We are seeking a Backend AI Automation Engineer to design and deliver next-generation automation solutions enhanced by Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. This role focuses on building Python-driven, cloud-native automation systems, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), APIs, and enterprise platforms to solve complex business challenges at scale. The successful candidate will contribute to automation architecture, accelerate AI adoption, and ensure solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and production-ready.

What you’ll do

 

  • Architect, develop, and optimise Python-based backend solutions with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement AI-enabled automation solutions that combine traditional automation approaches with Generative AI and LLM capabilities.
  • Build, secure, and maintain reusable APIs to support seamless integration across enterprise platforms and business systems.
  • Collaborate with local market AI developers and cross-functional stakeholders to create effective AI-driven automation architectures.
  • Apply robust system design principles to deliver modular, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
  • Leverage enterprise automation and orchestration tools to automate workflows and integrate AI capabilities into business processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members while promoting engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, contributing to innovation initiatives and technical roadmaps across AI, cloud, and automation domains.

Who you are

 

  • Experienced in Python development with 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience building automation solutions and AI-enabled services.
  • Skilled in working with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and inference optimisation.
  • Proficient in designing, building, and integrating APIs within enterprise and cloud environments.
  • Experienced in developing cloud-native applications using AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of modern Python frameworks such as FastAPI and LangChain.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, scalability, and software design patterns.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration platforms is advantageous.
  • Skilled at communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through collaborative and innovative approaches.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or guiding other engineers and contributing to technical initiatives is highly valued.
