About the Role

We are seeking an experienced technical delivery professional to lead complex, cross-country programmes and large-scale projects within Network Strategy & Engineering, delivered through the Delivery Management as a Service (DMaaS) function. This role focuses on managing end‑to‑end delivery across multiple telecommunications network domains, working closely with Vodafone European markets and Group stakeholders. The role is designed for an individual who thrives in dynamic environments, can adapt across varied portfolios, and is trusted to own the most high‑impact and strategically critical initiatives within the team.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the full lifecycle of programmes and complex projects, from feasibility and design through development, testing, acceptance and transition to operations.
  • Establish and maintain programme and project governance in alignment with Market Delivery Managers and Network Strategy & Engineering stakeholders.
  • Define, maintain and regularly update integrated project plans, ensuring alignment with wider programme objectives.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies, agreeing and driving mitigation actions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Handle escalations effectively and support prioritisation of resources, including specialist expertise and budgets.
  • Deliver clear, structured and customer‑focused communication and reporting to stakeholders at different management levels.
  • Ensure all initiatives are formally managed and reported through the NSE project management tools, maintaining high standards of quality and governance.
  • Act as a role model within the DMaaS community by promoting best practices, continuous improvement and adoption of project management managed services.
  • Contribute to team engagement, knowledge sharing and onboarding of new colleagues, supporting overall team productivity and performance.

Who you are

  • An experienced project or programme manager with strong exposure to telecommunications network environments.
  • Comfortable working across virtual, cross‑functional and multi‑country teams.
  • Confident in stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation across varied seniority levels.
  • Analytically minded, able to make sound decisions in complex and fast‑moving situations.
  • A collaborative team contributor who supports peers and contributes to a positive delivery culture.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Educated to degree level in telecommunications, computer science or a related field, or with equivalent practical experience.
  • Professionally certified in project management methodologies such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
