About this Role

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our platforms and applications operate seamlessly and meet reliability standards. This role involves monitoring system performance, collaborating with development teams to enhance scalability and reliability, and automating operational processes to achieve zero-touch operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining service availability and driving innovation in infrastructure and application reliability.

What you’ll do

  • Use software tools to manage systems, solve problems, and automate resolutions for zero-touch operations.
  • Design and improve software architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Define, create, and monitor SLOs/SLIs with product owners and development teams.
  • Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at scale.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications align with infrastructure requirements and reliability principles.
  • Build pipelines and automation for application delivery and deployment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot incidents to identify root causes.
  • Document and share knowledge, including post-mortem reviews and remediation recommendations.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering or IT support experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with adaptability to emerging technologies.
  • Experience working in multicultural teams and navigating complex organisations.
  • Technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Linux administration, networking, databases, and security.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, and Scala.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GoCD), and monitoring solutions (Datadog, Dynatrace).
  • Knowledge of web technologies, microservices architecture, and automation tools.
  • Strong English communication skills and global awareness.
