About this Role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who will support and integrate global IT solutions, enabling the delivery of secure, reliable and modern applications across Vodafone markets. The role involves leading DevOps activities, managing private cloud deployments, and supporting multi‑client application hosting through automation, orchestration and robust CI/CD pipelines. The individual will work across a wide technology stack including Ansible, Docker, Terraform, AWS and Python, while contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes and documentation.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver and maintain production‑ready solutions on private cloud environments to support applications used across Vodafone markets.
  • Lead system integration activities and implement DevOps tools and practices across various projects.
  • Manage migration and upgrade efforts to new software releases.
  • Oversee service management activities, ensuring incidents and service requests are handled in line with agreed service levels.
  • Deploy and manage Docker environments and automation using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Python and AWS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to databases, particularly Postgres.
  • Conduct end‑to‑end technical analysis to resolve incidents and support ongoing service requests.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
  • Work with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence and GitHub to support collaborative development and delivery.

Who you are

  • Experienced in Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  • Skilled in Ansible, Python, AWS, Bash scripting and UNIX/Linux administration.
  • Knowledgeable in IT infrastructure components such as DNS, proxy services and connectivity technologies.
  • Proficient in Agile delivery using tools such as Jira, Confluence and GitHub.
  • Familiar with system integration, DevOps tooling and cloud environments.
  • Able to troubleshoot database‑related issues, especially Postgres.
  • Remedy experience, software/web development skills or ITIL Foundation certification are advantageous.
