About this Role

We are seeking an experienced ITSM engineering authority to drive the design, engineering, implementation, and ongoing evolution of enterprise-scale IT Service Management platforms across Vodafone Group. This role plays a critical part in enabling central monitoring and digital service management capabilities across multiple local markets, contributing to large-scale transformation programmes. The individual will act as a technical authority, shaping solution design, guiding implementation, and supporting complex integrations in a highly distributed, global environment.

What you will do

  • Lead the upgrade, configuration, build, and deployment of enterprise ITSM platforms across Vodafone Group environments.
  • Design and deliver Proof of Value (PoV) and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives to support customer adoption and new business opportunities.
  • Perform technical evaluations of new vendors, platforms, and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Engineer in-house development solutions aligned to customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Partner with project and transition managers to shape technical roadmaps, estimate costs, and define delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and process owners to translate service requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Provide integration architecture, capacity planning, and end-to-end sizing to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency across global applications.

Who you are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Telecommunications.
  • You bring 4+ years of experience across IT Service Management domains, with strong hands-on expertise in BMC Remedy development and configuration.
  • You have practical experience developing Progressive Web App (PWA) interfaces for ITSM modules.
  • You demonstrate advanced programming and scripting skills, including SQL, Java, Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell, Perl, and JavaScript.
  • You have deep technical knowledge of CMDB design, normalisation, and reconciliation processes. 
  • You are confident analysing logs, APIs, and databases to diagnose and resolve performance issues in high-load environments.
  • You are proficient in ITIL practices, particularly Change and Configuration Management.
  • You work effectively in complex stakeholder landscapes, taking ownership and making informed technical decisions.
