About this role
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the integration and deployment of modern applications across global Vodafone entities. This role focuses on delivering production-ready solutions using Kubernetes and other DevOps tools, supporting private cloud environments that host applications for multiple clients. The individual will be responsible for optimising CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and ensuring high availability and security of Linux-based systems.
What you’ll do
- Build and maintain Jenkins pipelines using Groovy for automated Siebel deployments.
- Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable on-premises and cloud environments.
- Optimise CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, Git, and Nexus.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes and Docker workloads.
- Ensure performance, availability, and security of Linux-based infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and maintain application availability across UNIX and Windows platforms.
- Update technical documentation and contribute to the team knowledge base.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents within SLA.
Who you are
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Siebel Oracle administration.
- Strong background in system integration and DevOps tool implementation.
- Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with databases such as Postgres, DynamoDB, Cassandra; Redshift is a plus.
- Skilled in Python, Ruby, or Go; UNIX/Linux administration.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure technologies (DNS, Proxy) and connectivity techniques.
- ITIL Foundation certification and Remedy background are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality solutions.
