Der agile Release Train des Customer Data Hubs verantwortet die Entwicklung und Betrieb zur Bereitstellung konvergenter Kundendaten in Echtzeit aus allen IT-Stacks. Unser Team setzt auf innovative Technologien wie K2View Fabric, Kafka und Cloud-native Architekturen in AWS und unterstützt mit Millionen API-Calls und Event-Triggers pro Monat die digitalen Interaktionen von Millionen Kund:innen.

Als zentrale:r Expert:in für das Datenbankmanagement gestaltest Du die Zukunft unserer Datenplattformen (Oracle, PostgreSQL, S3) aktiv mit und sorgst dafür, dass unsere Datenbanken das zuverlässige Rückgrat für geschäftskritische Anwendungen und digitale Innovationen bilden. Dich erwartet ein hochmodernes, spannendes, dynamisches Arbeitsumfeld als agiles DevSecOps Modell mit zehn agilen Teams. Was Dich erwartet:

• Du bist verantwortlich für die 24/7-Verfügbarkeit und Performance aller betreuten Datenbanken durch Analyse und Optimierung der Systeme sowie den Aufbau eines effizienten Monitorings.
• Du überwachst und optimierst die Datenbankqualität und -performance durch kontinuierliche Analyse und regelmäßige Reviews mit Entwicklungspartnern und Betriebsbereichen.
• Du bist verantwortlich für die Prüfung der Qualität und die Implementierung neuer Softwarelieferungen für die Datenbanken.
• Du prüfst und aktualisierst die Betriebs- und Systemdokumentation.
• Du koordinierst und treibst die eigenständige, zielgerichtete Bearbeitung und Behebung hochkomplexer Incidents durch Zusammenarbeit bzw. Steuerung mit dem Incident. Management, Service Management Center, Entwicklungseinheiten, Test, internen und externen Lieferanten sowie Dienstleistern.
• Du initiierst und steuerst notwendige Datenbank-Patches zur Sicherstellung der Security und Compliance unserer Datenbanken 
• Du stimmst Dich mit Projektleitern und Architekten bei der Planung und Umsetzung von Projekten in Hinblick auf einen reibungslosen Betriebsübergang ab.

Was Dich auszeichnet:

• Abgeschlossenes technisches oder wirtschaftsingenieurwissenschaftliches Studium oder langjährige Erfahrung im Bereich IT-Infrastruktur und Rechenzentrum, IT-Betrieb, IT-Engineering.
• Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der IT, bevorzugt im IT-Betrieb, IT-Consulting oder IT-Architektur-Umfeld mit speziellem Fokus auf Datenbanken. 
• Tiefgehende Erfahrung im Betrieb und in der Optimierung von Oracle- und NoSQL-Datenbanken (z. B. Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL, S3, Cassandra) sowie in Cloud-
• Technologien (AWS) und Cloud-nativen Architekturen
• Erfahrung mit DevOps-Tools und Automatisierung (z. B. Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Englisch fließend in Wort und Schrift.
• Ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit, auch im internationalen Umfeld.
• Kenntnisse über IT-Architekturen sowie IT-Service-Management-Prozesse (ITIL) 
• Erfahrung im Krisenmanagement für fachbezogene Themen.

Diese Stelle kann in Vollzeit oder vollzeitnaher Teilzeit (mind. 30 Stunden) ausgeübt werden.

The agile Release Train of the Customer Data Hub is responsible for developing and operating solutions that provide convergent customer data in real time from all IT stacks. Our team relies on innovative technologies such as K2View Fabric, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures in AWS, supporting millions of API calls and event triggers per month to enable digital interactions for millions of customers.

As a central expert in database management, you will actively shape the future of our data platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, S3) and ensure that our databases form the reliable backbone for business-critical applications and digital innovation.

What Awaits You:

• You as ADBA – Expert Database Management for CDH (m/w/d) are responsible for the 24/7 availability and performance of all managed databases through analysis and optimization of the systems as well as the establishment of efficient monitoring.
• You monitor and optimize database quality and performance through continuous analysis and regular reviews with development partners and operational units.
• You are responsible for quality assurance and the implementation of new software releases for the databases.
• You review and update operational and system documentation.
• You coordinate and drive the independent, targeted handling and resolution of highly complex incidents in collaboration with or management of the Incident Management, Service Management Centre, development units, testing, internal and external suppliers, and service providers.
• You initiate and manage necessary database patches to ensure the security and compliance of our databases.
• You coordinate with project managers and architects regarding the planning and implementation of projects to ensure a smooth transition to operations.

What Sets You Apart:

• A completed technical or industrial engineering degree or many years of experience in IT infrastructure and data centre operations, IT operations, or IT engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, preferably in IT operations, IT consulting, or IT architecture with a special focus on databases.
• In-depth experience in the operation and optimization of Oracle and NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, MySQL, PostgreSQL, S3, Cassandra) as well as in cloud technologies (AWS) and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with DevOps tools and automation (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, proven in an international environment.
• Knowledge of IT architecture and IT service management processes (ITIL).
• Experience in crisis management for subject-specific topics.

This position can be performed full-time or in near full-time part-time (at least 30 hours).
