Our Team:
VF’s SIM Technology Centre (STC) manages the strategy, security, engineering, life cycle, and operations for centrally provided SIM/eSIM products and solutions. This includes traditional SIMs, eSIMs, provisioning systems, and all current and future SIM/eSIM offerings, focusing on secure customer access to VF networks and compliance with telecommunication regulations and billing integrity. STC supports Consumer and Enterprise organizations by deploying SIM/eSIM products and solutions, advancing SIM digitalization, and introducing new services.

The role: “Security Manager SIM Data Generation”
The role “Security Manager SIM Data Generation” is responsible to ensure strongest protection of Vodafone’s most sensitive SIM credentials within Vodafone’s SIM data generation service. The role is tasked with establishing and upholding strict security standards for all SIM data production and involved data centre operations. This applies to the operation of the service as well as its ongoing further development. It also includes overseeing security frameworks, industry regulations, Vodafone policies and legal requirements through regular risk assessments and creating methods to prevent any kind of risks and threats for Vodafone. It also covers monitoring external partners’ compliance and performance, making sure they meet defined standards and taking corrective action when needed. Other duties involve leading responses and mitigations to security incidents., Audit support and execution ensure compliance with certifications like GSMA SAS and ISO/IEC 27001. Additionally, this role acts as the principal key custodian with responsibility for all Vodafone markets as well as partner markets and any further customers of Vodafone’s SIM data generation service

What you will do
•    Continuous risk management and regular review of security policies to prevent data loss or unauthorized access to sensitive SIM data, both during ongoing operations and while further developing the service

•    Conducts compliance procedures in accordance with Vodafone policies, as well as security and telecommunications standards, guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements. Develops new security methods, policies, and procedures

•    Prepare for and support internal and external audits (e.g., by mobile network operators or the GSMA), while monitoring and ensuring compliance with GSMA SAS-UP (Production), SAS-SM (Subscription Management), and ISO/IEC 27001 standards

•    Assess compliance of external partner deliveries, track service deliverables and escalate corrective as needed

•    Incident Management: Coordinating responses to security incidents as well as preparing reports and action plans to mitigate vulnerabilities

•    Define, organize and conduct secure key exchange ceremonies based on and compliant to customer needs, industry standards and regulatory requirements


What sets you apart
•    Higher education degree in Engineering /IT / Security
•    SIM & telecommunication security experience 
•    Experience in understanding, interpreting, and applying technical standards   
•    Very trustable, able to save business secrets
•    Experience in complex processes & projects
•    Excellent verbal and written communications and collaboration skills in English 
•    Experience in working with local and remote international stakeholders.
•    Distinct strategic and analytic skills
•    Proven skills in risk and incident management
•    Deep knowledge on cybersecurity, cloud / network protection and cryptography
•    Certified CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
•    Experience on security audit execution
