What you’ll do

ROLE PURPOSE: 
Agri-Finance Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital lending products tailored to the agricultural sector. The role involves collaborating with financial institutions, fintechs, and other stakeholders to design innovative loan products that enhance financial inclusion for farmers, Agri-SMEs, and value chain players.


Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1.Product rollout & GTM: Lead end-to-end go-to-market for pilots and scale develop rollout plans, train & mobilize field staff/agents, design incentives, track milestones and remove on-ground blockers.
2.Portfolio & repayment ownership: Own loan performance; define collection processes, early-warning triggers, restructure rules, lead field recovery and deliver NPL/PAR targets.
3.Field operations & farmer onboarding: Manage farmer-group onboarding, KYC/KYB compliance, customers/merchant/agent enablement, KYC verification and channel operations.
4.Stakeholder & partnership management: Build and manage relationships with input suppliers, agri-businesses, cooperatives, Financial Institutions, NGOs and local government; negotiate MoUs and co-financing arrangements.
5.Project governance & M & E: Run pilot governance as per milestones and budget tracking, produce operational dashboards and fortnightly/monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
•Financial services and credit management-Knowledge of digital lending, savings, insurance and agriculture financing models
•Commercial and business development skills
•Data analytics and insights generation
•Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, rural banking, and financial inclusion strategies.
•Experience working with digital platforms, credit risk models, and mobile money ecosystems.
•Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships with banks, Agri-Tech firms, and Cooperatives.
•Strong stakeholder management skills

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s Degree will be adding advantage.
•Minimum 3 Years’ experience in digital lending, agricultural finance, fintech, or mobile financial services.
