What you’ll do

Role purpose:

To lead and manage the end to end commercial bid process for local and international opportunities, ensuring compliant, competitive and profitable proposals that support Vodacom Business growth.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
•End to end bid management
Lead the full bid lifecycle for local and international opportunities, from qualification and response planning through submission, negotiation and contract closure.
•Bid strategy and commercial positioning
Develop bid strategies that align customer requirements with business objectives, competitive positioning, profitability targets and solution feasibility.
•Governance, compliance and risk control
Ensure all bid submissions comply with internal governance, financial, legal and commercial approval requirements, with all key risks identified and addressed before submission.
•Contract and commercial negotiation
Manage the review, negotiation and approval of customer contracts, master service agreements, service level agreements and commercial terms to protect business interests while meeting customer expectations.
•Cross functional stakeholder coordination
Coordinate sales, finance, legal, technical, partner and affiliate stakeholders to deliver high quality, timely and customer focused proposals for complex opportunities.

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Commerce, Telecommunications or a related field
•Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in bid management, commercial management, proposal development, sales support
•Experience in contract review, commercial negotiation and governance approval processes
•Telecommunications or technology sector experience is preferred
•Project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is an advantage
