What you’ll do

Role purpose: 
•    Overall M-Pesa Performance evaluation and Reporting
•    Products and market analysis.
•    Improve existing and design new reports to meet business and regulatory requirements
•    Generation of actionable insights, collaboration with cross functional teams
•    Ensure timely and accurate business intelligence delivery

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 
•    Business Insights & Analysis
o    Understanding and tracking of key performance indicators
o    Perform exploratory and advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.
o    Translate data findings into actionable business recommendations.
o    Develop predictive models and perform statistical analysis.
o    Preparation of presentation and presenting to commercial teams and management.

•    Dashboard and Reporting Automation
o    Design, develop and maintain automated interactive dashboards.
o    Ensure timely data refresh and drill down functionalities for management reporting.
o    Create self service analytical tools to empower non-technical users.

•    Collaboration and Communication
o    Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and KPIs
o    Present insights in a clear, concise and visually compelling way.
o    Train commercial teams on how to use dashboards effectively.    
Core competencies, knowledge and experience 
•    Excellent analytical and logical reasoning skills translated from market insights
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Strong stakeholder management skills
•    Ability to anticipate customer, competitor and market dynamics 
•    Able to challenge the status quo
Qualifications: 
•    Education – Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, computer science, Economics, Business Analytics or related field.
•    Experience in data analytics, BI development or related role

Technical Skills:
•    Strong proficiency in SQL and database querying.
•    Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, qlik sense)
•    Proficiency in at least one programming language for data analysis (Python, R)
•    Familiarity with big data platforms ( eg AWS) 
•    Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.

Soft skills:
•    Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
•    Strong communication and story telling skills. 
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
•    High attention to details and accuracy.
