Role purpose:  
To ensure continuous maintenance of the Safety and Health system in Vodacom Tanzania, Compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Tanzania. 
Identify and remedy high risk areas for H&S in the Technology and Consumer activities through actively promoting a culture of safety within the business.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership: 
•    Responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
•    Overseeing risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate identified risks.
•    Leading investigations into safety incidents and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
•    Developing and delivering safety training programs to employees.
•    Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
•    In-depth understanding of safety regulations and standards.
•    Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures.
•    Experience in leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
•    Skilled in conducting safety audits and inspections.
•    3-5 years minimum work-related experience in managing Health and Safety.
•    Working experience in the Telecommunication, oil and gas or construction.
Must have technical / professional qualifications: 
•    Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
•    NOSA Incident investigation level 2 or 3
•    ISO certification
•    Ideally a degree in Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
