What you’ll do
Role purpose:
•Accountable for Software development support, product/service configuration, applications support, operations support and security compliance
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
•Operations and Engineering of VOMS and USSD Systems
•Change management of VOMS and USSD systems
•Support product/service development and configurations on VOMS and USSD systems
•Support VOMS and USSD Projects
•Security and compliance
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience
•Service management
•Change management
•Project management skills
•Software development Life cycle.
•Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with APIs
•Agile culture
•Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies and tools.
•Software development environment
•Knowledge and experience with core internet and networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP(s), DNS, FTP, SSH, and SMPP.
•Knowledge in managing code repositories, branching strategies, and collaborative workflows using VCS tools
•Programming and scripting languages (e.g. Java, Golang, Groovy, Python)
•Knowledge and hands-on experience with both relational (RDBMS) and non-relational databases (e.g. MariaDB/MySQL, Oracle, SQL, MongoDB.)
•Administration of Unix/Linux and Windows Server operating systems
•Knowledge of Cloud-native technologies.
•Excellent problem-solving skills.
•Good communications skills
•Knowledge of GSM and Fintech technologies
•Knowledge of AI tools & their applications will be an added advantage
Must have technical/professional qualifications:
•A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering.
•Good knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
•Good Knowledge of Database management systems
•2+ years’ experience in system support and software development.
•Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++/Python/JavaScript/PHP/ Java/ Golang
•Knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, LSD, and FDD would be an added advantage.
