The Vodafone Tech Innovation Center Dresden is Vodafone’s new global center for innovation and co-creation with other top tech world-wide companies, universities and research institutes. We will achieve this through helping our customers to define their digital transformation journey, generating insights to illuminate innovative ideas, creating amazing experiences for customers achieving cost savings or embracing new collaborative ideas & mindsets. UC &C delivers over 3.5bn of annual revenue globally, 1bn of which this role directly supports & as a team we have an ambition to always exceed the market growth.  

 

The Hi Touch Team plays a pivotal role in delivering against our strategic B2025 objectives, as we build a brand-new UC&C Centre of Technical Excellence to support the locally based sales teams through coaching & shared best practice. You will be a fixed, unified comms or mobility technical evangelist whose role will be to secure buy in from, and provide support to, the current Vodafone OpCo teams as subject matter experts & customer champions to close major customer deals. You will be confident in leading collaborative & challenging sales conversations with sales leaders & customers across the Vodafone global footprint with strong influencing & sales skills to realise profitable growth & positioning Vodafone as the clear innovation leader.

 

You will need to be intellectually & technically curious with a genuine passion for finding and implementing innovative solutions that will assist our clients with large scale enterprise UC&C transformations. You will evangelise Vodafone’s fixed, unified comms & mobility portfolios, adding deep technical support and coaching to complex deal qualification, negotiation & closure, be the voice of the customer internally at Vodafone and will collate market insight and promote awareness of our propositions externally via conducting product demonstrations, delivering talks, presentations, speaking at conferences industry events and seminars as a Hi Touch advocate. The role won’t just stop at UC&C. We are keen for our team members to draw on deep industry expertise, insights and experience in areas like Cloud, IOT, Edge Computing, AI, Security and other upcoming disruptive technologies which will help our customers on their digital transformation journeys.   

What will you be doing?

  • become a trusted advisor to our customers and help them connect our UC&C strategy to their business and wider IT strategies
  • serve as UC&C evangelists, consult and provide technical guidance on UC&C solutions, design build, governance security, operations and implementation best practice 
  • own a joint/linked sales targets KPI per geographic region & portfolio
  • develop and maintain a detailed level understanding of the UC&C industry and trends affecting or influencing the marketplace
  • help our customers to define their journey, generating insights to illuminate innovative ideas, creating amazing experiences for customers achieving huge cost savings or embracing new collaborative mindset

It would be nice if you have:

 

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • technical expertise and experience in either fixed, unified comms or mobility portfolios
  • deep understanding of the Enterprise market, Channels to market, and its various segments globally: SME to MNC, Direct to Indirect
  • excellent communication skills to articulate and influence customers and local sales teams to invest and sell VF’s strategic products
  • commercially astute with experience building P&L’s, ROI, commercial win strategies
  • operate at a senior customer level to proactively influence customers multi-year strategy in line with Vodafone innovation goals

 

Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

  • 8-10+ years in a technical sales environment
  • technical / business degree/accreditations helpful 
  • multi-lingual – English with German
