European healthcare systems are under pressure from ageing populations and scarce resources, and digitalisation presents an opportunity for structural change. Accelerated by the COVID pandemic, national governments and the EU are planning to invest tens of billions of euros in digital health initiatives in the next five years. This presents Vodafone Business with the opportunity to generate substantial incremental revenue growth and contribute to Vodafone’s Digital Society ambitions by improving citizens’ access to, and outcomes from, healthcare.  The Vodafone Centre for Health with Deloitte will combine Vodafone’s leading portfolio of connectivity services with Deloitte’s global healthcare consulting and delivery expertise to deliver solutions that help the healthcare sector to become more efficient, improve clinicians' experiences and save lives. 

Role purpose: 

The role of the Health Solutions Manager is to deliver E2E global solution lifecycle management for Connected Health Solutions.  By combining B&C products across the Vodafone Business portfolio with specialist digital health partner capabilities, you will ensure that these solutions meet the needs of health customers and are fully relevant and integrated into local markets product roadmaps.  Working with Product Owners, Partners, Customer Experience, Service and Technology teams, you will have responsibility for the creation, build and optimisation of Connected Health Solutions that deliver growth revenue for Vodafone Business.  You will also be responsible for CAPEX and OPEX investment to ensure that products meet the required medical device compliance standards.

You will be experienced in all Vodafone Business portfolio areas and able to design connected health solutions by combining Vodafone, Deloitte and Partner products and services.  You will champion the healthcare customer experience in all aspects of the solution, ensuring the Product and Technology teams deliver integrated solutions that healthcare customers love.

What will you be doing?

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design of connected health solutions that deliver the needs of public and private health organisations by combining multiple Vodafone, Deloitte and Partner products and services or identifying new-build requirements
  • Capturing and translating global health customer needs into clear health solution design briefs that enable Product Managers to build new products or optimise and combine existing products.
  • Focus on ‘integrated solution design’ to ensure all E2E requirements are met including quality, safety, regulatory, sustainability and medical compliance across multiple portfolios and partners.
  • Create and maintain global solution roadmap, securing buy-in from Local Product Managers, ensuring OpCo requirements are captured.  Planning and securing budgets for integration, launch and go-to-market resources. 
  • Ensures alignment with SAFe framework and methodology for all steps of the PLCM process.


Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Ten years' experience in building integrated medical technology products and solutions.
  • Proven track record of leading the end-to-end solutions lifecycle including design, MVP, product iteration, in life optimisation and solution withdrawal.
  • Excellent healthcare customer and portfolio product knowledge at a global level whilst appreciating any local nuances. Able to spot and leverage global customer, product and technology trends. Good understanding of key enabling product technologies
  • Deep product management expertise, including clinical demonstrations, teaching skills, market trends/analysis, solutions launches; product roadmap development, product life-cycle management 
  • Ability to resolve conflicting requirements within OpCo’s and across portfolios


Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health-related subjects, business administration, or related technology engineering field 
  • Fluency in English required, other languages a plus (DE, ES, IT)
  • Project management e.g. Prince2 or Agile certified


Key performance indicators:

  • Global solution revenues and key product commercials e.g Revenues, P&L etc
  • Number of active customers / Churn rate
  • Customer satisfaction and NPS
  • Recognition from identified technology analysts e.g. Gartner


This position may be full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours).
