Your Team:
The Commercial Specialist role is part of the overall Fixed Value Stream within the Vodafone Consumer business. You will be working within our Fixed segment team who are responsible for developing the Fixed strategy, future propositions, driving awareness, engagement, and demand for our products & services. Within the commercial and trading team, we create our pricing strategy and design offers and promotions that shake up the market to meet our revenue, margin, and net adds goals. We also develop the business cases for all new broadband products, establish our yearly budgets, and create and implement our trading plans.
Your Role:
The Broadband Commercial Specialist is responsible for supporting our annual budgeting & rolling forecast processes, the design and delivery of our pricing & offers strategy, the execution and review of tactical offers, propositions and Channel pricing to drive sustainable & profitable growth for Consumer Broadband. The main responsibilities include reviewing the impact and ROI of offers and propositions across different channels – driving efficiencies and growth through continuous improvement, managing tactical offers, competitor monitoring and driving the commercial strategy.
You'll work closely with our wider trading team (Base, Channels & Indirect partners) to ensure alignment on expected performance across annual budget builds & rolling forecasts.
You will work as part of Vodafone Ireland’s Consumer Fixed Value Stream who are responsible for owning, shaping & defining the commercial success and strategy of the Vodafone Fixed portfolios. The team works very closely with all other Consumer teams in the business as one virtual team, from Brand & CVM to Product Delivery & Devices, as well as cross functionally with our colleagues in Finance, Customer Operations, and Technology & Networks.
Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities
Budget and Rolling Forecasts: Evaluates market trends to support the annual budget and Rolling Forecast strategies.
Point of contact for the segment for commercial teams (retention, cross-sell, channels, finance)
Business Cases: Overseeing cross-functional business case requests, collaborating closely with the finance team to assess benefits and offer strategic commercial guidance. Leading commercial initiatives from launch to post-implementation review (PIR)
Commercial Governance: Accountable for monitoring business case demand & processes, as well as stock management with Supply Chain. To succeed in this role, you will need to have: Proven experience in commercial analysis, including forecasting and budget creation, strong presentation skills, capable of presenting to Senior Management level
We Are Looking For You, If You Have:
Essential
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a marketing or commercial function
- Proficient in excel with experience analysing data sets
- Experience working in cross-functional and virtual teams across different disciplines
- Experience in succeeding in high profile, pressurised environment which demands flexibility and multi-tasking
- Education to a degree level or highly relevant compensating work experience; previous telecommunications experience advantageous; experience in working in sales and/or marketing functions in a similar sector i.e. telecoms, tech, utilities
