About this role
What you’ll do
- Develop, review and recommend enhancements to credit scoring and credit risk policies across Vodafone channels in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Use customer and financial data to shape risk segmentation, mitigation strategies and debt cycle profiling.
- Apply data analysis and data mining techniques to understand customer risk behaviours and debt patterns.
- Proactively identify emerging credit risk issues and coordinate effective resolution actions.
- Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative credit assessments for new and existing customers, providing clear risk recommendations.
- Assess credit risk exposure across all products and services, ensuring strong governance and control frameworks.
- Drive strategies to minimise bad debt provisions, write-offs and customer churn.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement across credit risk practices, tools and processes.
- Identify process gaps and tool enhancement opportunities, partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
- Produce and present credit risk and credit management KPIs, dashboards and reporting packs for business stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular governance forums to review performance, share insights and propose improvement initiatives.
- Provide structured performance reporting to senior leadership, including finance and executive stakeholders.
- Maintain clear documentation of all credit risk strategies, policies and processes.
- Oversee vendor-related credit risk, ensuring compliance with credit policies and maintaining effective vendor relationships.
- Lead credit risk–related projects, managing delivery, budget and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Who you are
- You bring at least five years’ experience in a similar credit risk role within a multinational environment.
- You hold a finance-related degree and/or professional qualifications in accountancy or credit risk.
- You demonstrate strong analytical capability with hands-on experience working with data and coding-based analysis.
- You have a proven record of solving complex credit risk challenges through collaboration and stakeholder partnership.
- You can critically interpret complex information from multiple sources and translate insights into clear business impact.
- You have substantial experience in credit management within a mass consumer, technology-enabled services environment.
- You possess strong knowledge of financial statements and their application in credit risk assessment.
- You are confident presenting to senior and executive-level forums and leading structured discussions.
- You are highly proficient in advanced Excel and data mining techniques.
- You have experience working with Experian tools and platforms.
- Experience in SQL, Power BI, Python or SAP is beneficial.
- Experience within the telecommunications sector is advantageous
