Role Purpose:

 

  • In this role within the Finance team you will be a business partner to the Vodafone Enterprise business divisions in relation to the Vodafone Business Acceleration program called SPARK.
  • Vodafone Business is repositioning itself as a 360-degree digital partner for businesses and Public Sector offering next generation networking and connectivity, security, cloud, collaboration technologies, SaaS.
  • Vodafone Business will build a borderless, multi-market scale advantage and sales approach to become an invaluable ally to its partners and the providers of high quality, competitively priced services.
  • You will be responsible for shaping the Performance Reporting framework that will be supporting & driving Commercial Performance & Strategic decision making, including the target setting process, while supporting them with financial insights.
  • You will work as part of the Enterprise Finance Business Partner team reporting directly to the Senior Enterprise Business Partner.
  • You will work closely with the Enterprise Leadership Team, Commercial Team and across the Enterprise Business.
  • You will also work closely with teams across Finance, including Financial Reporting, Data & Analytics Team and the Commercial Analysis and Planning team for the purpose of defining data, governance and insights.
     

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:

 

End to end responsibility for SaaS Financials

  • Ownership of SaaS P&L and non-financials, including Marketplace as a channel
  • Monthly review of performance with explanation of variances and trends
  • Advice on corrective actions to ensure delivery on targets
  • Ensure Budget is linked to operational targets which are consistent across the business
  • Responsible for e2e revenue and margin assurance controls across sell-run-bill processes.

Distribution strategy and Steering on Acquisition & Retention costs

  • Working cross functionally to ensure the customer investment costs included in financial plans and forecasts are aligned with the organisation’s distribution strategy/channel mix
  • Monthly review of performance with explanation of variances and trends
  • Advice on corrective actions to ensure delivery on targets

Business Partnering

  • First point of contact for Head of Commercial and Segment P&L Managers for Financial reporting and SaaS portfolio
  • Proactively provide commercial insights to Enterprise Director, Head of Commercial and Marketing, Segment Leads and CFO & Finance Leadership Teams for effective decision making.
  • Prepare, review and challenge business cases, financial appraisals and pricing reviews for new products, propositions, and promotions, ensuring.

 

 

 

 

 

Planning and Forecasting

  • Monthly high-level Rolling Forecasts, including Risks & Opportunity view
  • Adhoc deep dive & reforecasting on direct cost or revenue lines as required to get insights & drive actions
  • Prepare revenue and margin Annual budgets, working with product managers and commercial segment leads for each product and segment, challenge assumptions and ambition level to drive revenue and margin performance 
  • Build Long-Range plan financials in line with our Strategy & linked to our Budget ambitions

Developing Performance reporting framework to drive Financial Integrity and Business Performance

  • You will be the VBU Business partner interlocking with the Data & Analytics team, driving the agenda for delivering strategic insights/reports
  • Review and define improved data, analytics and governance of sales, channels and revenue forecasting  
  • You will be the SPOC for Group SPARK workstream on Reporting, leveraging the global scale and investments to drive local implementation of reporting framework.

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

 

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 4+ years PQE
  • Previous Business Partnering Experience essential (3+ years) 
  • Planning, forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Previous financial modelling experience
  • Data savvy, experience in defining financial dashboards and data visualization insights
  • Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Excel front ends
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills 
  • Ability to understand issues at both operational and strategic levels and to influence stakeholders to action
  • An individual with a growth mindset who is open for new challenges.
