Role Purpose

 

The role is responsible for supporting and safeguarding customers and channels by implementing effective, commercially viable fraud controls as part of the value stream way of working. It involves conducting risk assessments for all new products and propositions, driving change management and continuous improvement of fraud controls, managing strategies for fraud risks such as account takeover (ATO) and contributing to the ongoing transformation of fraud management practices across the organisation.

 

The candidate will be focusing on day-to-day delivery while working with the fraud team to ensure that fraud requirements are submitted as part of new product design. They will play an important role in the Vodafone’s Fraud Management team, helping to align our prevention capabilities with current fraud threats and compliance requirements.

What you’ll do

 

Key role & responsibilities:

 

  • Embed Fraud Prevention measures: Champion the implementation of commercially sound fraud control frameworks across all channels via the value stream, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and risk appetite.

 

  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Support regular fraud risk assessments and ensure fraud controls meet requirements.

 

  • Define Business Cases for new controls: Ensure all proposals for fraud control changes within customer journey (New Customers and In-life) s are fully scoped and include fraud reduction benefits and Sales Loss Impacts to drive informed decision-making

 

  • Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders: Lead proactive fraud risk assessments for all new products and propositions embedding preventative measures at the design stage to safeguard revenue and reputation.

 

  • Drive Fraud Transformation: through structured change management, continuously enhancing fraud detection and prevention capabilities to stay ahead of emerging threats.

 

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the evolution of fraud management practices, supporting the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives and cross-functional projects, and PIRs

 

  • Project Management capacility: Lead on fraud management projects for the company.

  • Business Partnering: Demonstrated ability to lead transformative fraud initiatives collaboratively across Vodafone consistently delivering measurable outcomes through influence, education and execution.

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong stakeholder management skills, adept at building partnerships and aligning senior leaders, cross-functional teams, around shared transformation objectives.

 

  • Commercial Acumen and Business Insight: High level understanding of business drivers and commercial priorities, with a focus on enabling sustainable growth, balancing fraud risk and revenue opportunity.

 

  • Transformation and Change Management: Leads fraud transformation strategies into operations, embedding fraud prevention and detection into operational customer journeys.

 

  • Customer-Centric and Thought Leadership Approach: Embeds customer protection and trust within all commercially viable  solutions to mitigate fraud.

 

  • Ensures that all activities relating to assigned cases are monitored and communicated to relevant stakeholders in a timely fashion 

 

  • Project Management: Leads on Proejcts in conjunction with IT

  • Fraud Reduction Impact : % reduction in fraud losses attributed to implemented controls from risk assessments.

 

  • Risk Assessment Coverage: % of new initiatives (products, propositions, journeys) with completed fraud risk assessments.

 

  • Sales Loss Avoidance: Estimated revenue preserved through proactive fraud control implementation.

 

  • Cost-Benefit Realisation: ROI of fraud initiatives based on implementation cost vs. fraud reduction achieved.

 

  • Cross-Functional Project Delivery: % of fraud-related transformation projects delivered on time and within scope
