Senior Business Development Manager

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you be responsible for increasing Vodafone market share by driving Mobile Acquisition engagements in the marketplace, targeting and securing New Logo Customers, increasing our mobile presence in Split Customer Accounts and winning mobile in Fixed only customers within our SMB / Mid Market segments.
A collaborative member of the team, you will identify opportunities through outbound calling, social selling (with a Social Selling Index of 70%+) following up on marketing campaigns and inbound leads when required. You will engage with customers’ buying centres via the telephone and digitally. You will provide continuous support to clients to identify sales-ready opportunities, with a deep understanding of prospects’ business drivers and how Vodafone can bring value to them.
You will be working within the Irish market and will be responsible for conducting pre-call research in order to build 3x pipeline coverage on a monthly and quarterly basis, ensuring that opportunities are followed up and do not become stuck or stale during the sales cycle.
This is a hunter Sales role, for a highly motivated individual, driven to succeed covering Enterprise sales in Ireland.
What you’ll do
- Understanding the competitive marketplace, having an awareness of market investment activity with the objective of identifying potential target customers for Mobile Acquisition and proactively engaging with target customers.
- Develop Stakeholder map for target customers, leveraging Vodafone Leadership team and Marketing activities accordingly.
- Leading, Negotiating and Closing new Mobile Sales engagements/opportunities ensuring we are leading with compelling and commercially attractive propositions. Responding to RFIs/RFPs
- Working cross functionally & collaboratively with internal teams and subject matter experts including networks, account managers & service management to leverage available resource to ensure optimum outcome of each bid and engagement
- Drive engagements and maintain a shared sense of urgency across cross functional team
Who you are
- Proven experience in complex Telco sales role in a highly competitive environment
- Proven ability to understand customer business priorities, drivers and pain points, ensuring Vodafone deliver propositions that are business outcomes focused
- Business acumen, presentation, and leadership skills with Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, proven track record engaging at CXO level.
- Deep understanding of ICT and digital transformation
- Self-starter with drive to deliver, Strong expertise in identifying and developing relationships with Senior Stakeholders across Target Customers
