Role Purpose

  • The Solution Sales Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the Solution Sales team with responsibility for the Solution Towers of Unified Communications (UC) & Voice, IOT and Mobility to forge relationships with customers and develop technical solutions to business problems selling the associated Vodafone product portfolio to address their requirements. 
  • This team is responsible for strategic solution sales, technical solution development and customer proposition development across Enterprise customers, including Private and Public Sector customers in Ireland.
  • The Solution Sales Senior Manager will also have responsibility for leading and managing a team specifically focused on our high-volume transaction business across the entire suite of Vodafone’s Solution portfolio.

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:

  • Build and lead a highly skilled team of field Solution Specialists and Desk Based Solution Sales Specialists. 
  • Develop an in depth understanding of the P&L and the drivers of business performance.
  • Deliver and exceed new business sales & revenue targets, with a focus on driving ‘Beyond Connectivity’ growth.
  • Drive sustainable business for the future by working closely with Commercial Team ensuring collaborative engagement to win in the marketplace, maintaining a healthy margin and building a recurring revenue stream.
  • Develop Strategic Growth Plan for the Solution Towers responsible for, including but not limited to Pipeline Generation activities, Stakeholder Mapping, Events.
  • Responsible for Sales Opportunity forecasting and running regular cadence meetings with your respective Solution Sellers.
  • Support the Solution Sales team through commercial negotiations and deal closures.
  • Maintain a focus on Customer Success and NPS throughout all customer engagements (both individually and your team)
  • Responsible for ensuring technical certification and continuous professional development of the Solution Sales team a constant focus.
  • Maintain a high-performance sales culture, continuously reviewing performance of the team and proactively addressing performance challenges where required.
  • Work closely with Product and Delivery teams, providing constant feedback on Vodafone’s solutions based on customer and market insights. 
  • Work closely with Delivery, Operations, Care and Account Managers to understand and resolve customer issues and solve complex problems.
  • Develop strategic Customer relationships across customer C-Suite and ensure Solution Sales team prioritise customer relationship mapping & development.
  • Collaborate with the renewals team to ensure customers contracts and services are renewed appropriately.
  • Stay abreast of Vodafone’s Products, Services, Solutions and Industry trends to provide expert knowledge to both the sales teams and existing/potential customers.

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

  • 10+ Years’ experience in a Technical Sales Management role, preferably in a large complex sales environment in Telco/ICT industry.
  • Ability to build strong internal/external relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of telecommunications and IT Service Models and their practical application
  • Excellent technical knowledge and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing a high performing sales team in a very competitive, technology driven environment. 
  • Ability to build and maintain trust at senior customer levels by managing perceptions of results, empathising with the customer concerns, and proving the integrity of our servicing capabilities.
  • A passion to work with customers in a high-quality service driven industry. 
  • ‘Customer First’ mindset
  • Primary degree in a Business of Science discipline.
  • Technical understanding of UC, Voice, IOT, Mobility portfolios.
