Role Purpose:

The Vodafone Strategic Commercial Contract Manager is accountable for the commercial performance and formal governance of strategic vendors within Vodafone (Vodafone has established a CCM [Commercial Contract Management] framework for reference). This role acts as an escalation point for risks and issues related to performance across all service delivery elements. 

Essence of Role – Key Accountabilities:

Build Strong Relationships - Building and leveraging strong and credible relationships with key stakeholders across the business to maximize CCM delivery.
Contract Governance & Management - Reinstate series of governance meetings as outlined in current contract with appropriate stakeholders (key inputs and levels) to review performance and compliance to contractual obligations. Ownership of agenda, minutes and following up on agreed actions to ensure they are closed within agreed timelines.   
Driving KPI/SLA Compliance 
Continuous measurement, tracking (overall KPI dashboard tracking and assigned KPI ownership) of metrics (and root-cause investigation for under-performance). Ensuring owners are following through on actions items to bring KPI’s to green status.
Timely collection of service credits / rebates associated with KPI under performance. 
Drive continuous improvement of KPI stack, always looking for opportunities to improve measures of performance. Continuous questioning, challenging and influencing of local stakeholders to ensure the IMPACT of KPI measures are deliverable, clear and drive increased supplier/Vodafone performance. 
Continuous evaluation of a supplier’s compliance to their contractually stated commercial obligations
Risk Monitoring - Thorough understanding, capture and mitigation of contractual risks     
Ensuring Transactional Compliance – on-going alignment checks between Finance Business partner to ensure the terms of a contract are delivered from a payments perspective (to prevent errors / over-payments)
Change Management - Adherence to consistent checks and balances during negotiations for change management to ensure the value built into the main agreement is not diluted during a change request.
Dispute Management - Thorough preparation of supporting documents and evidence to facilitate a formal dispute process in the event that issues cannot be resolved during regular interactions with supplier.
Exit/Renewal - Clear communication within Vodafone and to the supplier as contract milestones are reached, sharing and documenting key lessons learned.
Audit Compliance - Be fully accountable for audit compliance of its own area.
Procurement Strategy - Based on CCM knowledge of the local business, the CCM is to be a key contributor to the Procurement Strategies (from analysing current state to executing future contractual requirements), to ensure it is fit for purpose for the VF market.
Drive Demand Optimisation Excellence by questioning, challenging and influencing the future sourcing demand of the local VF market, leveraging global sourcing initiatives where relevant.

We Are Looking For You, If You Have:

Essential
Demonstrates robust business partnering skills: understanding of business, identifies and prioritises stakeholders, builds sustainable relationships to drive increased business performance and best value outcomes.
Project management skills, an understanding of what is required to take a project from idea to business as usual.
Understanding of operational Supply Chain function, preferably 5+ years 
Contract negotiation and execution experience  
Strong analytical/numerical skills and Data Analysis skills are essential
Be able to show an energetic and innovative approach to problem solving and continuous improvements.
Embraces and drives the change agenda and does not shy away from challenging situations.
Understands the benefit for and promotes cross-functional working.
Understands organisational structure and systems, and the impact of decisions.
Analyse data and generate insights to question and influence local business requirements to optimise demand linked to local business strategy and budget.
Comfortable with technology, able to learn to use new systems quickly
Protects Vodafone's interests by developing commercial contracts based on a thorough understanding of legal and ethical environments. Ensure minimal value leakage for key contracts by ensuring KPI and obligation adherence and risk monitoring.
Solid category management skills: develops a clear understanding of local industry trends, economic, financial and market dynamics, commercial models and demonstrates business foresight to contribute to global category strategy and / or enable delivery of effective sourcing activities.

Advanced ability and experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
