VodafoneThree - CCTV, IDS and Access Control Engineer
Location: This role is working fully onsite at Farnborough + UK field based 50%. The role includes a Job Related Car (JRC)
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Security Clearance: This position requires you to hold or the ability and willingness to obtain a UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

Join Vodafone Business Security Enhanced and strengthen the cyber security of the UK's Critical National Infrastructure and public sector organisations.
What you'll do
If you're passionate about security technology and enjoy solving problems in a hands-on environment, you'll play a key role in protecting critical infrastructure across the VBSE estate. You'll help ensure our physical security systems remain reliable, compliant, and operational while working with a supportive team that values expertise, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- You'll plan and deliver preventative maintenance activities across a range of physical security controls, including locks, doors, access points, code changes, and secure containers.
- You'll troubleshoot and resolve faults on security systems and devices, both during business hours and as part of an on-call rota.
- You'll proactively manage and support a range of physical security technologies, including CCTV, video management systems (VMS), access control platforms, access cards, and perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS).
- You'll help ensure contractual security obligations are met in line with Security Management Plans (SMP) and Security Aspects Letters (SAL).
- You'll support physical security audits, investigate incidents, identify root causes, and contribute to effective resolutions.
- You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of security, compliance, and operational excellence.
Who you are
- You'll bring experience working with physical security systems, monitoring centres, alarm installation, or maintenance environments.
- You'll have knowledge of security platforms such as Gallagher, Galaxy, CCTV, Access Control, PIDS, or related technologies.
- You'll be eligible to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
- You'll have a good understanding of ICT environments, including operating systems, backend technologies, and alarm monitoring applications.
- You'll hold, or be working towards, relevant certifications in Access Control, CCTV, PIDS, Electrical Engineering, Gallagher, Galaxy, or Milestone systems.
- You'll ideally have NPSA Foundation Training and ECS FESS or City & Guilds qualifications.
- You'll hold a full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
- You'll have strong communication skills, alongside solid ICT, Maths, and English capabilities.
- You'll enjoy working independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a wider team.
- You'll be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest security standards.
