What you’ll do

 

The Service Designer role involves producing designs for complex opportunities that include multiple towers and products. This includes reviewing solution designs developed by Solution Architects and providing peer reviews to ensure solutions are designed, costed, and documented in line with customer requirements and contracts.

 

The Service Designer collaborates with Programme and Project Managers in cross-functional and virtual teams, representing all Vodafone ITIL Functions in creating key customer-facing operations material.

 

Additionally, the Service Designer interfaces directly with customers and third-party suppliers involved in the creation and delivery of each solution. The role requires experience with procurement frameworks and processes associated with both public sector and CNI clients, including awareness of public sector procurement via OJEU and UK Government Frameworks.

 

  • Customer Ops Manual (COM) – Responsible for production and handover into BAU    
  • Attend pre and post Sales Design workshops and represent the Vodafone ITIL Stakeholders.    
  • Review Customer Contracts and Requirements documentation to identify gaps and conflicts. This will ensure Contractual Support Compliance.
  • Creation of reference service architecture & design models for future opportunities    
  • Service requirements review and assessment against standard, optional and bespoke offerings  

 

Who you are  

 

  • Experienced in creating and writing Operational Processes
  • Ability to influence, and show resolve under pressure from both customers and internal stakeholders to ensure solution designs are deliverable
  • Understand the Fixed Product and Support processes
  • Must have demonstrable experience of designing and/or delivering complex service solutions
  • Must have working knowledge of solution designs which include: SDWAN & IP Networking/ Unified Comms/ LAN/WAN/ Internet Access solutions/ Network Monitoring & Optimisation/ Security solutions/ Mobility and Mobile Data Services/ IT Managed Services
  • Security Clearance: This position requires the person to hold or to be eligible to undergo UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
