Who we are

At Vodafone UK, diversity isn’t just a buzzword, it is core to who we are as a company.  We’re proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work and are committed to driving inclusion for all; creating a workplace that is fully representative of the communities and customers we serve.

What you’ll do

This is a fantastic opportunity within Consumer Commercial Operations, leading the UK Retail team. Reporting to the Head of Channel Management, you will be responsible for leading, developing and maximising the sales and commercial performance of Vodafone’s Franchise Partner Programme (~115 partners operating ~400 stores nationwide) and Vodafone flagship stores.

You will lead and develop a team of Territory and Regional Managers to foster and maintain successful partnerships that deliver growth, profitability and excellent customer experience for both Vodafone and our Franchise partners. As such, you will build and maintain an in-depth understanding of Vodafone’s partner model, contracts, propositions, competitors, the UK market, and the commercial levers that drive performance.

You will be an internal and external champion for our Franchise Partner Programme, advocating the importance of our Retail channel and the significant customer and business benefits it delivers. Whether you are sharing best practice, launching a new initiative, or managing cost efficiency, you will actively encourage innovation and align business priorities to drive positive change.

This is an exciting role that provides an opportunity to work across a broad span of functions and play a critical role in delivering the Consumer P&L, outstanding customer experience, and Vodafone’s brand presence on the high street. You will therefore be encouraged to stretch yourself, work at pace, think like a challenger, and deliver for our customers and partners.

Who you are

  • High level of strategic thinking to develop the Retail and Franchise partner strategy in line with, and complimentary to, the broader Vodafone distribution strategy.
  • Commercial mind-set with prior experience in sales leadership roles. Sound judgement, based on analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, in complex situations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a proven track record of success when engaging internally and externally with business owners.
  • Tenacious with a strong drive for results within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to build highly engaged, motivated, and committed teams.
  • Highly numerate and analytical, with a strong understanding of different financial models. Proven ability to tackle complex issues quickly and accurately.
